2026 update
Fastest electric motorcycles: what changed
**Read this before you spec a bike from the list above.**
Several machines in the original 2024 ranking have changed status since publication. We have left the original list in place, but the notes below tell you what is actually orderable in 2026.
**Damon HyperSport Premier — never produced (was No. 3).** Damon Motors showed the HyperSport at CES 2020 promising 200 hp, a 322 km/h top speed and 322 km of range, and took over 3,000 reservations. No production motorcycle was ever delivered. Damon was delisted from Nasdaq in May 2025, its entire board resigned in February 2026, and damon.com has been offline since April 2026. Treat the No. 3 entry as a reference-only cancellation — it cannot be bought.
**Energica (Nos. 4 and 10) — back after a 2024 shutdown.** Energica Motor Company entered judicial liquidation in late 2024 and production at its Soliera plant stopped. In 2025 a Singapore-based investor group acquired the business, and Energica has positioned 2026 as the start of a rebuild. The Ego+RS (No. 4) and Eva Ribelle (No. 10) figures above are pre-2025 manufacturer claims — confirm current pricing, availability and warranty directly with Energica before ordering.
**Voxan Wattman (No. 1) — a record prototype, not for sale.** The Wattman is a one-off land-speed record machine built by the Venturi group. Ridden by Max Biaggi at the Kennedy Space Center in November 2021, it set 21 FIM world records headed by 455.7 km/h. It has never been offered for sale and is included as the outright speed benchmark only.
**Verge TS Ultra (No. 7) — now a solid-state production bike.** At CES 2026 Verge launched a production TS Ultra with a Donut Lab solid-state battery: a 33.3 kWh pack, up to 600 km (370 mi) range, native NACS charging at up to 200 kW, 0–80% in under 10 minutes, and a US MSRP around USD 44,900 with first deliveries in Q1 2026. The 375 km / 25-minute figures in the table describe the earlier 2023–2024 specification.
**Lightning (Nos. 2 and 5) — still building, renamed.** Lightning remains in low-volume production in Hollister, California. The LS-218 now starts at about USD 38,988 with the 15 kWh pack (20 kWh and 28 kWh upgrades available); the Strike range is now marketed as “Strike R”, and a next-generation “Beyond-218” platform entered testing in January 2026.
**Arc Vector (No. 8) — now in North America.** Arc Vehicle is still trading and has entered the North American market with a CCS1 socket for US fast charging. The standard Vector carries an MSRP around USD 128,000; production remains boutique and invite-based. Link to arcvehicle.com (the /vector path used above no longer resolves).
**Zero SR/S (No. 9) — current figures.** Zero now quotes 113 hp (84 kW) peak and 190 Nm; the max-capacity pack is 17.3 kWh (15.1 kWh nominal), rated at 275 km city range in the US/UK spec (14.4 kWh / 251 km in the standard EU spec); top speed 200 km/h (124 mph).
**Bottom line for 2026 buyers.** The realistic production options today are the Verge TS Ultra and TS Pro, Zero SR/S, Lightning Strike R and Arc Vector. Damon is off the table, Energica is restarting, and the Voxan is a museum piece — none of the 2026 additions existed when this list was compiled in 2024.
