BENLG electric scooters packed in racks awaiting container loading at the Dongguan warehouse
Factory & Visits
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are the manufacturer. BENLG builds electric two- and three-wheelers on our own production lines in Dongguan, with in-house R&D, battery packing and end-of-line testing. You deal with the factory that makes your units — no reseller margin, and no middleman between you and the line your order is built on.

Can I visit the factory or see my order being built?

Yes. Buyers visit Dongguan regularly; tell us your dates and we arrange transport from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. You can walk the welding, assembly and test lines and watch your own units being packed. If you cannot travel, the Factory Tour video on our About page covers the same ground, and we can run a live video walkthrough with your team.

Ordering & MOQ
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For most models, our standard MOQ is one full 40'HQ container. We do accept mixed-model trial containers (usually 2–4 models). For exact quantities by model and packing type, see the container loading table below.

Can I order samples before a full container?

Yes. Start with samples to verify quality before committing to volume. Sample prices are higher and lead times are longer than bulk production. Once you confirm the sample, your next order moves to wholesale pricing.

Can I mix different models and colours in one container?

Yes, within limits. Some configurations require per-model export documents (for example lithium battery dangerous-goods packaging), so a single container typically carries 2–3 models. We confirm the exact mix when we build your quotation.

What is the lead time?

Mass production is typically about 40–45 days after we receive the deposit or original L/C. If certification is needed, homologation and lab testing add roughly 2 months depending on the lab. LCL shipments wait until a container is consolidated.

Pricing & Payment
Are prices FOB, and what is included in the quoted price?

Our export prices are FOB (e.g. FOB Shenzhen). The vehicle price is quoted without the lithium battery by default, because lithium cell prices move with the market and are quoted separately. Lead-acid versions are cheaper and can be quoted all-in.

Every quotation clearly states whether battery, charger and certificates are included.

What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are 30% T/T deposit before production and 70% balance before shipment. We also accept an irrevocable L/C at sight from a major bank, with the original L/C received before production.

Can we pay by letter of credit (L/C)?

Yes. Tell us your issuing bank and terms. Note that late shipment dates or discrepancies may require L/C amendments, so we align the L/C with the confirmed production and booking schedule.

Supply Modes & OEM
Which supply modes can you provide — CBU, CKD, SKD, OEM?

All of them. CBU (fully built units), SKD / CKD (semi or completely knocked down for local assembly), and OEM / ODM (your brand, logo, decals and paint). CKD/SKD can lower freight costs and, in some markets, reduce import duty.

Can you manufacture under my own brand (private label)?

Yes. We support full private-label branding — your logo on the body, custom decals, paint colours and packaging. For distributors committing to annual volume, we can sign an exclusive distribution agreement. You are also welcome to film production at our Dongguan factory for your own marketing content.

Battery & Performance
Lithium or lead-acid — which should I choose?

Lithium is lighter, longer-lasting and is now the mainstream commercial choice. Lead-acid is cheaper but heavier and shorter-lived. Prices and certifications differ.

Tell us your budget and use case and we will recommend. Many African and Latin American buyers now insist on lithium.

Can I upgrade the battery capacity (for example to 200 Ah)?

Yes, within the vehicle's certified battery compartment. A larger capacity may require re-certification and a dedicated production slot because cells are made to order. For the current batch we often recommend a proven configuration and reserve the higher capacity for the next order.

Do you offer a range extender?

On certain cargo tricycle models, yes — a small petrol generator that recharges the pack on the move, mainly specified for delivery and logistics work where charging is sparse. It adds weight, noise and maintenance, so for most city fleets we size the battery instead. Tell us your daily kilometres and we will recommend which one you actually need.

Certification & Road Legality
Do your vehicles have EEC / CoC certificates?

Some models already hold EEC certification, and specific models have been certified to US DOT and EU E-MARK depending on vehicle type and target export country. Our quality management system is ISO9001 certified — that covers how we build, not road approval for a given market.

For markets we are not yet certified in, we help you obtain local type approval and supply the technical documents your authorities require (drawings, BOM, test reports, wiring diagrams). A certificate fixes a model's homologated specifications such as power and voltage, so upgrades may require re-certification.

Which models do not need a driving licence?

In most markets it is the electric bicycle (EPAC in the EU, EAPC in the UK) — pedal-assist, limited to 25 km/h with a motor of 250 W or less — that can be ridden without a licence or registration.

Speed limits, power caps and licence rules vary by country. Share your market and we will recommend compliant models.

Shipping & Containers
How many units fit in a container?

It depends on model and packing type. Typical loading per standard 40'HQ container is shown in the table below. Exact counts are confirmed per order based on your model selection.

Can you ship vehicles with batteries?

Yes. Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods, so shipping requires DG packaging and certification. The battery and vehicle may ship separately, and DG booking can take longer in peak season or when vessel space is tight. We arrange the booking and supply the documents.

What documents do you provide for customs clearance?

Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus certificates and HS codes on request. Common HS codes are electric motorcycle (about 8711.60.00) and battery charger (about 8504.40.14), confirmed per order.

The buyer handles local import clearance; we recommend reliable forwarders.

Spare Parts, Warranty & After-sales
Do you provide spare parts?

Yes. We include complimentary accessories and spare parts with the order (up to about 1% of the order value) and can prepare spare-parts packages so your customers have coverage from day one.

What is the warranty?

Warranty is provided on the vehicle and the battery, with the terms set out in writing and, for distributors, reflected in the distribution agreement. Durations vary by model — request the specification for the exact model you are quoting.

Is it hard to assemble a CKD / SKD container?

It is routine for mechanics. We provide model-specific assembly videos and manuals plus remote guidance. Many partners employ local technicians for final assembly. Tell us your setup and we will match the packing type (CBU vs SKD) to your capability.

Container Loading

How Many Units Fit in a 40'HQ?

Figures below are typical reference values per standard 40-foot high-cube container. Exact counts are confirmed per order based on your model selection and packing configuration.

CategorySKD (semi-knocked down)CKD (completely knocked down)
Simple / e-bike style (carton)168 (large carton) / 288 (small carton)~300–350
Full-size scooter (e.g. DT12 class)~75~150
Cargo tricycle (1.5 m bed, this model only)4060

* CBU (fully assembled) loading figures vary by model — contact us for exact loading plans. Narrow minimalist step-through e-bikes load in higher quantities than full-width models. Final counts are confirmed when we build your quotation.
